Talan H. Suleyman

Litigation Associate

Talan was called to the Bar in May of 2019 and joined Magnus Law as a litigation associate in 2020. His practice is wide ranging but mainly consists of disputes requiring civil litigation.

Talan has represented clients at all levels of the British Columbian courts, including the Court of Appeal. He has independently represented clients at trial. His approach is tailored to the facts of each claim, and he often looks for an amicable resolution without the need for litigation if possible.

Talan has experience in the areas of real estate disputes, estate litigation, contract claims, corporate and shareholder disputes, franchise disputes, construction and builder’s lien claims and personal injury matters.

In his real estate practice, Talan’s experience includes:

  • Failure to complete on a purchase or sale of property;
  • Removing Certificate’s of Pending Litigation;
  • Partition and sale of property;
  • Lien claims; and
  • Trust claims to real property.

In his estate litigation practice, Talan’s experience includes:

  • Disputing the validity of a will;
  • Undue influence claims
  • Wills variation claims; and
  • Trust claims for transfers of assets that pass outside the estate.

When Talan is not practicing law, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, fishing, golfing, playing football and watching all kinds of sports.
